ENT stands for ear nose and throat. We cannot leave out the many throat surgeries Dr Syed Muzahir Hussain has performed. One particularly interesting case was that of this patient, who came as an emergency case to Dr Muzahir whilst he was in Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. He had developed a massive retropharangeal abscess that had greatly restricted his breathing. He was near death when brought to Jinnah Hospital. Dr Muzahir using an innovative approach was able to successfully drain the abscess, which had 800 ml of pus! The patient developed no complication after this procedure.
